Pain Reprocessing Therapy for chronic pain
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a focused, short term talking therapy with an educational component about pain and your nervous system along with the teaching of cognitive, behavioural and mindfulness techniques that can re-train your brain to interpret signals from your body without fear or anxiety. This can break the pain-fear cycle and re-wire your nervous system out of pain.

This represents a paradigm shift in the treatment of chronic pain and can empower you to gain control over your pain and take charge of your own health. A recent randomized controlled study found that two-thirds of clients with chronic back pain experienced complete or near-complete pain relief following 4 weeks of twice weekly PRT*.

-
Have you had persistent pain for 3 months or more?
-
Do you suffer from Fibromyalgia, Chronic Tension Headaches, Migraine, chronic neck pain, chronic back pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or chronic primary pain of unknown cause?
-
Are your symptoms inadequately controlled or are you experiencing significant side effects from your medication?
-
Are you looking for an alternative form of chronic pain management that is free from medication or invasive procedures?
-
Are you looking for a holistic assessment that treats you as a whole person rather than just a condition?

If you have answered yes to any of the questions above then PRT might be suitable for you.
